The changes were so subtle
So of course no one could see,
For who wishes to observe
Someone falling to misery?
Her grades were slowly dropping.
She no longer seemed to care.
She slowly stopped eating.
But things don't end there.
Deep cuts began appearing
All up and down her arm.
She began to wear long sleeves
So no one saw she was doing harm.
Within a couple months,
She was failing every class.
Her future meant nothing to her
So why bother trying to pass?
She became more than skinny,
A fragile little shell.
No one could possibly understand
Why she was giving herself hell.
And no longer could she hide
Those scars she left behind.
She created far too many
For others to be unable to find.
And all these people question
These changes that they see.
What made this seemingly happy girl
Alter how she used to be?
But they thought these changes sudden.
But that theory is wrong
Because all of theses changes
Have been there all along.

so I read this.. this morning actually, left my laptop open on this poem.
I stepped in my car and drove of to the hospital.
Intentionally I wanted to visit a friend, she comes there for these AA-ish meeting about self-abuse...
I got there rather early and so I waited, she cried when she saw me sitting there...
I attended the entire meeting, and damn those people went trough hell :(
but to get to the point, she told me (on the way back) that I saved her back then, because I was one of the rare people that actually even noticed she started to look worse with the days passing.

I guess I just want to thank you and your work,
