Dismembered

I've collapsed on the ground
Torn into pieces
By my kin.
I bleed out
Hurting
And they watch on in sadistic glee.
This is what they wanted,
To see me helpless
And in need of their assistance.
They don't like people
Who can stand on their own,
So they break down the strong
And make the strong depend on the weak.
All this pain
Just to feel needed,
Needed by a people
Who does nothing but worsen our lot.
So here I lay dying
To grant the wish of those who desire selfish gain.
Dismembered and helpless
I'm still the stronger.
